Improved security and convenient access to your Riyaz account

Starting with the recent release (4.2.0), we’ve taken a few steps to make it more convenient for you to access your accounts, while making it more secure.

Issues with current login system

Some of you have written to us communicating the difficulties in accessing your Riyaz account. Usually, these difficulties are in either remembering which social account you used to sign up, or having to reset the forgotten password, or even ending up with two or more accounts and your progress spread across them.

We empathise with these problems. Frankly, our product team has had similar problems with other products/services they use. So, they came up with a solution which will put to rest all those issues, and make Riyazers’ lives easier.

Phone number is all you need from now

We’re switching all Riyazers to an OTP based phone number login. No password, no social accounts, no emails. Nothing else but one phone number. Every time you want to login, you’ll be sent an OTP.

So, if you’re an existing user, you might see this screen the next time you use Riyaz.

After doing this once, you only need to enter your phone number whenever you need to login.

      1. Why do you make these changes without releasing these features into production. Do you not have betas before you have all your users suffer? Looks like this startup would close down faster than this started. I dont mean to be harsh, but this is frustrating.

    The 2nd octave scales are missing from the shruti section only 3rd octave is visible or available as of now . Please look into the matter at the earliest .

    Todays mrng when I started from Bilabale That advanced palte the shruti got fixed to G#3 wherease I and mostly all the riyazzis sing from either C#2 or 2nd octave , madhya saptak ,
    Where has it gone ????????????

    Why Tar saptak shritis are available only ..how will our riyazz we go on ????

    Do it quickly sir..I unstillated and re instalated app 3 times but for no avail . Every day riyaz lost will push ous 10 days back ..sir.

    Solve it with the sens of urgency at the earliest possible time and way.

  6. I bought Premium and when I try to log in with my phone number, it does not send me the OTP. I am stuck. Please help.

Sad to see this app which started off so well for very interested and serious classical music learners has now degenerated to the state of any other social media app like TikTok, or Instagram with half-baked singers belting out modern Bollywood songs on the home page. Classical music sections still exists (thank God for that) but it has become very buggy. And they have a very tedious process for reporting bugs. Anytime I come across a bug the standard response is “Please send the screenshots” which is very painful. Why can’t you have voice response where a person encountering a bug can walk you through. I have stopped reporting the bugs and learnt to live with it. Only reason I am continuing is the content and coaches in classical sections are very good and the subscription is reasonable (Rs. 500 per year). But I am going to switch as soon as I find a better app.

  8. I subscribed to Riyaz premium on an android through a gmail account but now I have switched to iPhone. I can’t access my account. Every time I try to log in via gmail into the app on iPhone, it says ‘error in fetching the data’. Kindly help.
