Raag Bihag is a very melodious raga that can be easily sung by beginners too. This Raag uses all the seven music swars. One interesting aspect of this raga is that it uses both the Tivra Madhyam and Shuddha Madhyam. There are quite a few iconic musical pieces from Indian Cinema that were composed in Raag Bihag. Some being “Hamare Dil Se Na Jana” from the film Udan Khatola, “Tere Sur Aur Mere Geet” from Goonj Uthi Shehnai, “Malargal Kaettaen” from Oh Kadal Kanmani sung by Chitra and A.R. Rahman and Piya Bawari” sung by Asha Bhosle and composed by R.D. Burman from Khubsoorat.
